PCRF is used by broadband service providers as a real-time QoS and charging management platform. The product supports open standards, enabling interoperability between equipment and information systems from any vendors.
To ensure that subscribers can manage their services effectively, the solution includes a single storage of data on available services (New Generation Data Repository). The storage supports multiple service definition formats and provides secure access to information.
NGDR is a user data repository (UDR) as defined by 3GPP in its Technical Specification 23.335; it serves as a centralized node for storage of data on subscriber services of any type in the IT infrastructure of a telecom operator. It can process over 80 thousand requests per second, including dynamic subscriptions.
The product can handle up to 60 million subscribers (>1 million transactions per second, >500 terabyte of information about subscribers’ actions per day)
An easy-to-use thin-client administrative interface
Storing information about subscriber services, including service profiles, usage, thresholds, timing and authorization data
No storage format restrictions; managing both the operator’s own portfolio of services and third-party providers’ services
Horizontal scalability and redundancy across geographically distributed sites ensure high performance
