Peter-Service, the leading developer of billing and CRM products for the telecom industry has successfully finished the installation of convergent billing solution PETER-SERVICE BISrt in OJSC «MegaFon». The total number of operator’s subscribers serviced with the PETER-SERVICE BISrt solution, is more then 25 million. This project is unique in terms of convergent system scale and the number of subscribers migrated to this system.

Change-over to the convergent billing was carried out by stages in every regional company of MegaFon including «Mobicom-Kavkaz», «Sonic Duo», «MSS-Povolzhie», «Mobicom-Khabarovsk», «Uralsky GSM», «Mobicom-Novosibirsk» and «North-West GSM». The first step was instantaneous migration of almost 3 million subscribers of «Mobicom-Kavkaz» in summer 2005. Next was the gradual transfer of about 2 million subscribers of «Sonic Duo» that was accomplished without interruptions in service. The final stage was the installation of BISrt in «North-West GSM», where the gradual migration of almost 2 million subscribers was finished in only two months time.
MegaFon’s change-over to the unified billing solution PETER-SERVICE BISrt that can service both contract and prepaid subscribers at the same time, allows operator to essentially minimize risk of loosing incomes if there is a glitch or the regulation works are going on, to get consolidated report, to use tools for performing various marketing tasks, including different tariff plans and programs of loyalty, to reduce risks of misusage and also to increase spectrum of the offered services.
