Peter-Service has successfully accomplished testing of its convergent billing solution PETER-SERVICE BISrt for the subscribers' capacity of 16 mln in the HP European Performance Center
Peter-Service – a leading Russian developer of billing and CRM solutions for telecom operators has successfully accomplished testing of its convergent billing solution PETER-SERVICE BISrt for the subscribers’ capacity of 16 mln. Tests were held in the HP European Performance Center in Boeblingen, Germany.
Stress tests were made on the Hewlett-Packard high-end hardware – server HP Integrity Superdome and disk storage HP StorageWorks XP1200. It was the first testing on the systems with dualcore processors Intel Itanium 2 9000 (codename Montecito). Before tests started initial estimates of productivity increase of the information system when switched to Montecito processors, was made. And tests completely proved the estimates right.
Check of BISrt efficiency in real-time simulation of stress loads on Montecito processors was the major goal of the testing. Tests held on HP Integrity Superdome server with 64 processors (128 cores) showed great level of scalability of the system, and also showed quality figures of batch-processing.
“Absolute records of calculation of license fees and billing were demonstrated during tests” – said Alexey Mishulovin, Manager of the group of load tests. This test was an extension of the co-operation of Peter-Service and HP in increasing the reliability and efficiency of work of PETER-SERVICE BISrt on HP platform.
