In June Peter-Service, a leading Russian developer of billing and CRM solutions for telecom operators, has successfully accomplished load testing of the roaming support system PETER-SERVICE RSS on the base of IBM hardware platform.

During the trials PETER-SERVICE RSS was tested on the middle class hardware in Innovation Centre of IBM in Moscow. IBM System P5 570 was used as a server with database ORACLE 10.2 installed on that.

Major goal of testing was to receive the hardware configuration of the roaming broker PETER-SERVICE RSS, with the possibility to process 600 mln records per month. Test also showed that the architecture of upload/download of data is optimal and provides for successful scalability of those processes. Testing results showed that a monthly traffic of a telecommunications operator can be processed with 4x reserve in productivity.

PETER-SERVICE RSS – is the first roaming support system in Russia, which supports both national and international activities of the telecommunications operator, and also has some advanced options of a data clearing house and a roaming broker. Unique characteristics of the product were highly appreciated by the leading Russian telecommunication operators, already using this system for several years.
