In July Peter-Service, a leading Russian developer of billing and CRM solutions for telecom operators, has successfully accomplished load testing of the roaming support system PETER-SERVICE RSS in the High Technologies Center of the Moscow representative office of HP.

Main goal of testing was to receive the hardware configuration of the roaming support system PETER-SERVICE RSS, which would be able to work with the traffic of 600 mln records per month. Middle class hardware HP Integrity rx8640 was used as a database server.

Absolute speeds of information processing were received as a result of testing, which allowed to achieve 300K of roaming calls per minute to upload and 150K of roaming calls per minute to download. Testing results showed that monthly traffic of a big telecommunications operator can be processed with a lot of productivity in reserve.

PETER-SERVICE RSS is the first roaming support system in Russia, which supports both national and international activities of the telecommunications operator and also has some advanced options of a data clearing house. Leading Russian telecommunication operators, already having this system installed, have appreciated a quality of this product and successfully use it.
