Peter-Service, a leading Russian software manufacturer for the telecommunications industry, completed the first project phase in the highly productive integration application server PETER-SERVICE HAS with TIBCO Enterprise Message Service™.
PETER-SERVICE HAS is a highly productive integration application server that was designed to meet the complex challenges of providing a single point-of-access to a number of diverse interfaces for information and billing systems. In terms of features, HAS offers broad possibilities for building applications to accommodate internet, mobile network, and intranet access to database and billing systems, which are geared to service millions of users.
PETER-SERVICE HAS was built from the ground up to provide innovative solutions, including subscriber based management systems, central self-management systems for subscribers, and equipment management systems, as well as others. Because of the rich feature laden nature of HAS, the initial integration tests proved difficult, but has been successfully integrated with TIBCO Enterprise Message Service and has demonstrated its compatibility with virtually all of the applications that it uses.
TIBCO Enterprise Message Service is a standards-based messaging exchange solution which provides the foundation for building a common enterprise backbone to manage the real-time flow of information. It is the foundation of TIBCO's event-driven Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) designed to function on multiple hardware platforms and supporting open standards and leading technologies including multi-protocol support for Java Message Service (JMS).
Testing evaluation of TIBCO Enterprise Message Service enabled the creation of a prototype product which provides for the reception and transmission of messages from the TIBCO Enterprise Message Service (interactive voice response through the HAS application server). The availability of the product not only significantly expands for opportunities in system integrations with third-party business systems using TIBCO Enterprise Message Service, but also enables them to gain access to the network operator to use mobile access channels such as SMS and WAP, as well as gain access to operator payment and management services and equipment.
“The ability to quickly connect new data sources is a demonstration of the maturity of the technology we have used, and makes integration with external systems oriented toward data transmission a predictable task,” explained Igor Gorkov, Director of Marketing and Sales at Peter-Service on the efforts of the company. “We are pleased to have commenced a partnership with a company as viable to the industry as TIBCO Software Inc., and hope that this joint project will launch a long and fruitful relationship between our companies.”
“Peter-Service and TIBCO share a common perspective in our customer centric approach, which makes our services so complementary,” said Fabio Pulidori, TIBCO’s senior vice president, EMEA. “Telecom operators are high priorities for TIBCO and Peter-Service. This integration is a unique opportunity to work together to address these operators and we're looking forward to the response we receive from this very important market segment.”
The integration of these software products is the first joint-venture between TIBCO and Peter-Service. Its successful completion has allowed for both companies to look toward the future and plan further mutually beneficial collaborations.
